New employee

Aleksander Vines has been employed at NERSC as a programmer since the end of September 2013.

He will work full time to take care of the development tasks in WP4 - Data Delivery System.

Aleksander holds a bachelor in informatics and a MSc in software development from the University of Bergen, Institute for Informatics. At the same place he has worked as a teaching assistant and been in charge of operating their e-learning system and system development environment, including some system development.

GreenSeas scientist receives Best Presentation Award

Marie-Fanny Racault has received the award for best presentation at the ICES Annual Science Conference. The title is 'Challenges in the integration of ecological indicators within a network of Atlantic Ocean observations' and co-authored by Trevor Platt, Shubha Sathyendranath, Ertugrul Agirbas, Victor Martinez Vicente, and John Bruun.

The rest of the GreenSeas participants congratulate Marie, as this achievement is very positive and encouraging for the project.
